Italian cloud and telecoms services outfit Clouditalia has added Rubrik's data management platform to its stable.
The Arezzo-based company will offer Rubrik's backup-as-a-service offering and also plans to implement its software-only Rubrik edge solution in the coming months.
Adopting Rubrik's backup service is expected to eliminate the complexity and unreliability of legacy infrastructure for Clouditalia's predominantly mid-market customers, with a simplified platform across on-premise and the cloud.
Clouditalia also partners with other staple vendor names such as Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Trend Micro, and VMware.
"Our ability to offer extremely tailored services directed towards our customers' needs is reliant upon finding and exploiting the most innovative technologies available in the market," said Marco Iannucci, CEO of Clouditalia.
"Rubrik is undoubtedly the right answer to all our needs. It is very easy to use and scale, and allows us to guarantee instant data recovery – something we couldn't do before. Thanks to Rubrik, we can move more of our resources from data protection tasks to other key tasks within our datacentre."
Clouditalia is the first Italian company to sign on with Rubrik's data management and backup solution.
"We are excited to be a trusted partner to Clouditalia as they deliver next-generation cloud services to the Italian market," said Rubrik CEO Bipul Sinha.
"Rubrik's cloud data management solution enables Clouditalia to efficiently deliver more dynamic capabilities within its cloud services portfolio. Supporting Clouditalia's new self-service model by virtue of Rubrik's extraordinary ease of use and public cloud scalability enables the company to address the entire Italian mid-market opportunity in a sustainable way."
