Belgium Microsoft specialist Codit has signed a deal to merge with Dutch consultancy house Axon Olympus.
Based in Utrecht, Axon Olympus also holds a Gold badge with Microsoft in application integration and will add its 25 employees to Codit's team.
With the addition of Axon Olympus' team, Codit's staff count reaches 120, which the firm claims makes it the largest Microsoft integration and cloud solutions partner in Europe. Codit also holds Gold Microsoft badges in application development and cloud platform, and a Silver badge in data analytics.
The merged company will continue under the Codit banner, with Codit CEO Stijn Degrieck maintaining his position and Axon Olympus' CEO Sean MacGillavry becoming chief marketing officer of the new organisation.
According to Degrieck, Codit and Axon Olympus has been working together since 2012 when the firms collaborated on R&D and managed services. In 2014, the companies launched a joint venture under the Codit International brand, which led to Codit opening new offices in Zurich and Hampshire in the UK this year.
"We have been working and communicating like a single company since the joint venture," said Degrieck. "With this merger, we are strengthening our organisation and giving our international ambitions a nudge in the right direction. We were already operating in Belgium, France and Portugal. Since this year, we have added the UK and Switzerland. Now the Netherlands is being added too."
Codit's CEO said he is expecting to turn over €13m in 2016 and is projecting revenues "well over" €25m by 2020. The firm claims it is "actively looking for extra employees", especially IT consultants, engineers, and technology architects.
"We are devoting a lot of attention to research and development," said MacGillavry.
"The advent of the Internet of Things and the growing complexity of the business applications landscape call for greater investment in technology know-how. By joining forces, our customers can depend on us more than ever before to achieve a successful digital transformation process within their organisation."
